A Better Breakfast

Did you know that September is Better Breakfast Month? Breakfast is a good time for you to give your body the energy it needs to function throughout the day. Many people start their day with a cup of coffee or nothing at all, but we think you should give yourself a better breakfast because you deserve it! In this week’s Azure Villas Blog, we’ve got a few tips for you on how you can add that something extra to your breakfast!

Smoothies

If you’re a busy person and need to be on the go, you’re not going to want to spend the requisite time making a big breakfast. Instead of spending that time cooking eggs or bacon, you can swap it for a smoothie! Grab some frozen fruit and milk while you’re at the store doing your grocery shopping so you can throw those into a blender for a deliciously sweet breakfast! If you want something extra, you can throw in some oats and/or chia seeds to take your smoothie to the next level.

Go Out for Brunch

Treat yourself to a delicious brunch instead of making it yourself. Find a nice spot that serves food you enjoy and head there! We know that this tip isn’t the most sustainable way to get a better breakfast, but we think that it’s good to splurge every once in a while. It may be tempting to head to brunch at the most popular or Instagrammable spots, those places may not actually be good. Do your research and find your favorite brunch spot! 

Balance

A balanced breakfast is important. Much like your other meals, finding balance in the foods you eat for breakfast will give you the appropriate nutrition and energy. It will also diversify what you eat! It can get pretty boring to just eat the same thing over and over again, so diversify your breakfast by eating a good balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats! Don’t go overboard though!
