Movies to See in May 2019

We’re huge movie buffs here at Azure Villas apartments, and we’ve been looking forward to the month of May for a long time. From modern remakes of classic films to much-anticipated sequels, it’s going to be a busy month at the theaters. Head on over to your local Pembroke Pines, FL theater for an entertaining night.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters, May 31st

“The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity's very existence hanging in the balance.” This film is a follow up to 2014’s Godzilla and 2017’s Kong: Skull Island. Aladdin, May 24th

“Aladdin is a musical fantasy film directed by Guy Ritchie and produced by Walt Disney Pictures. It is a live-action remake of Disney's 1992 animated film of the same name, which is in turn based on the Arabic folktale of the same name from One Thousand and One Nights. The film stars Mena Massoud as the titular character, alongside with Will Smith, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, and Billy Magnussen.” The classic ‘90s animated film gets a 2019 live-action remake. Join in for fun with the whole family!

John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, May 17th

“Still on the run following his assassination of Santino D'Antonio in the Continental, and with a $14 million global contract on him, Jonathan "John" Wick (Keanu Reeves) is banned from every Continental service, which forces him to fight his way out of New York City with the help of a hitwoman (Halle Berry) who still trusts him.” Leave your kids home for this movie. The third movie of the hit John Wick series looks to build on the success of the first two. Let us know what you think of it!
